Working with me one-on-one
Being a therapist isn’t like any other job. This work is often a calling. It relies on our ability to show up fully (enough) and grounded (enough) and it requires self-reflection, curiosity, and a sounding board to identify what we’ve missed or when our own sh*t is showing up. And we sit with people who are hurting, traumatized, healing, and growing. All while we’re living through our own traumas and healing.
I support you to provide therapy well & sustainably.
My supervision & consultation services
I hold space for strengths, social justice, intersecting identities, and ethics while supporting you in your clinical work, your business practices, and professional development.
There are 2 ways to work with me individually: supervision & consultation.
The choice depends on:
where you’re located,
what level of licensure you hold,
how much support you want.

Supervision for Licensure
I am a Washington State approved supervisor in accordance with the WAC and can provide clinical supervision to associate social workers (LSWAICs), mental health counselor associates (LMHCAs) and marriage and family therapy associates (LMFTAs) working toward their independent licenses in Washington state.
As an approved clinical supervisor, I am legally responsible for my supervisee's clinical work and I take that ethical and legal responsibility seriously. I limit the number of supervisees I work with so that I can provide you with good support in the service of good clinical care for your clients.
I primarily see individual adults, addressing issues including mood, anxiety, chronic and childhood trauma, parenting, attachment, transitions, roles and identities, body image, disordered eating, and acceptance in my therapeutic work. There needs to be some alignment in our work so that I can provide you with the supervision you deserve.
The supervisees I work best with are folx wanting to wrestle with what’s hard, reflect on how they are showing up in the work, recognize growth, & work on tolerating the mess and discomfort that can come along with “being with” our clients.

Clinical Consultation
Consultation is different than supervision. As a consultant, I am not legally responsible for your clinical work. That means I can offer consultation to therapists with any licensure in any state. I offer one-off and ongoing consultation to therapists who are seeking support from an experienced therapist and supervisor.
You might want to seek consultation with me because of my PMH-C certification and 10+ years experience specializing in perinatal mental health. I am a regular trainer with Perinatal Support of Washington on PMADs (perinatal mood and anxiety disorders) including anxiety, OCD, depression, bipolar, psychosis and suicide. I work from strengths-based, trauma-informed, and harm reduction models drawing from research and my clinical experience in outpatient, group, and partial hospitalization program (PHP) levels of care.
Or you might want to seek consultation with me because of my perspectives on fat liberation & the intersection of weight stigma, mental health and wellbeing, and parenting. I don’t position myself as an expert, though I have lived experience with these issues. I will support you in delving into nuance, holding contradictions, and identifying questions, directions, and areas for further investigation.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
We’ll likely talk about the clients with whom you are working, how you're documenting your interventions, marketing, fees, boundaries, diagnostic questions, how a broken health care system impacts your clients and your work, how our codes of ethics intersect with systems like child protective services, cultural humility, a funny social media meme, the latest law passed that affects our work, or the weird noise your cat/dog/kid just made in the background…
Because we won't be working in the same organization, it can be challenging to cover everything in one hour a week and have a "thorough knowledge" of the parts of your work required by the WAC; therefore, I may ask for you to share de-identified documentation, write a process recording or record (with client permission) part of a session. This allows me to review, reflect, and comment outside of our meeting time so we can discuss emerging themes together. I also welcome suggestions or other creative solutions for how to be able to best support you in your work.

I ask supervisees and therapists who are consulting with me to identify a rate that works for you between $140-$175 taking into consideration the privileged identities you hold, the setting in which you work and your fees, and how long you’ve been practicing. I do offer a few spots for reduced fee supervision for licensure for QTBIPOC associates or those in need and working in settings with fewer resources.
Please contact me if you have any questions.

I require weekly supervision for associate therapists who are practicing in private practice. If you are employed at an agency or organization and have additional supervision, I am glad to discuss less frequent supervision. I do not take on individual supervisees who are looking for monthly supervision and are still accumulating hours for licensure.
For consultation, we will determine together the length and frequency of meetings based on what your individual needs are. We might meet once, or we might more.

Yes! I offer seasonal groups that meet 6-8 times and provide group supervision hours. I also offer drop-in consultation groups at times. Check out the details for current groups.

As a Washington state approved supervisor, I will give you a Declaration of Supervision form that attests that I have the required training and experience in supervision when we start supervision. You will need to keep track of hours of supervision and hours of postgraduate experience and then I will sign off on those hours when you submit your application.
Each profession has its own forms which you can find on the DOH website:
I’ve been a clinical social worker for nearly 20 years and in that time, I’ve been challenged, encouraged, and supported in my own supervision & consultation relationships. I continue to obtain my own regular consultation and participate in a number of consultation groups, including one focused on supervision and another on anti-racist practice. In 2023, I obtained a certificate in Advanced Clinical Supervision at Smith College School for Social Work.
